It's become a running joke in our family...DH will surprise DD by flinging open her bedroom door and yelling, "Alexa, play Sundown"!
DD screeches in feigned annoyance, but leaves the song on. Any time it comes on in the car, she goes to it, and even has it on her Spotify playlist.

RIP Gordon Lightfoot. You've brought many little happy times to my family's life.

I spend a lot of my summers up in Lake Superior. Gordies Edmond Fitzgerald song always reminds me of my time there. As a Canadian I feel so sad at his passing. He was an icon to us.

The mariners church rang 30 times yesterday in honour of Gordon Lightfoot. Twenty nine times for the men lost on the Edmond Fitzgerald, and once for Gordon Lightfoot.
