Good looking Tutorial book for Beginners/Intermediates?

I just recently started to really get into the art of make-up. :shame: I do a lot of reading online, watch YouTube or pester the poor girls at MU counters for tips...

I'd love to buy a nice book but there is so much out there. Right now I think I have narrowed it down to the Bobbi Brown Manual and Making Faces. I can't go wrong with those if I can believe the reviews.

Are there any other books worth checking out? Any secret tips?

I've never seen Sam Chapman before but then again I usually just frequent German blogs to make sure I have access to the products used, kwim? I hate ordering make-up online because it's just too hard to judge colors, texture, etc :shame:

I have the Scott Barnes book "About Face" - he does J Lo's make-up.

He works a lot with contouring and highlighting make-up - he makes everyone look amazing!

For basic techniques, I guess Bobbi Brown would be good.
