Can anyone you wonderful people recommend some good shoes? :smile1:
I want some flats, boots or some other form of shoes that have up to two inch heel height. I want the shoes to be something that I can walk in all day, and go easily from work to other events. I'd prefer shoes that are stylish and look good, and fit with several different outfits and occations.

I already have several sneaker pairs, so are there any good designer shoes?

Hope you can help me, and if anyone has a shoe testimonial to share, it would be awesome. :smile1:

Hi bluegreys! Through trial and error over the years, this is my list for stylish and comfortable shoes:

flats and mid-heel pumps for work - AGL shoes!

flats and mid-heel shoes for weekends, etc - Ferragamo Vara and Varina, L.K Bennett (love their kitten heels)

boots and booties - Paul Green, Fiorentini + Baker, Frye, Acne Studios, Rag and Bone, Stuart Weitzman 50/50, L.K Bennett

I tend to stick to these brands because I love their fit, style and comfort level. I hope that helps! :smile1:

I recommend AGL as they look great, really nice soft leather, and the most comfortable shoes I've found, even their low heels are very comfortable. I have never gotten a blister with an AGL or been uncomfortable or wishing I wore a different shoe, no matter how much I had to walk. Can't say the same for any other brand, and I do wear and have lots of other shoes including high heels and put up with not as comfortable because I like the look, but AGL is what I wear the most.

I am with you on this! Just got a new pr of AGLs with a wedge - I love them! I have a slight foot issue (neuroma) so have to be careful but am a total shoe girls - have found this to be the best of my worlds - I have boots and flats and feel it's my new go-to brand - I do have others as well (love Stuart Weitzman) but this is my fav....

I agree, Stuart Weitzman are nice too, I have a pair of Bowright peep toe heels I wear all the time, they are comfortable for 4 inch high heels and wearable all day (unlike most shoes of this style/height) but toward the end of the day with a lot of walking they take their toll. Vince Camuto are comfortable for heels too, I have a pointy single sole and a small platform almond toe style, neither is overly high so that probably helps. Corso Como are comfortable, I have a high heel style and a flat boot. I have Ferragamo Varinas (or maybe they are Varas, I'm not sure), patent purple with bow, short block heel, beautiful shoes and I probably get the most compliments on these of any of my shoes, but they are still not as comfortable as AGL. Cole Haan flats or short wedges are good too, I can usually wear them for unlimited walking. I have 1 pair of Lanvin flats with bow, they are fine but again not as comfortable as AGL.

Just got these Nicholas Kirkwood and already ordered them in tan as well! I have wide feet and almost every shoe hurts- these were comfortable IMMEDIATELY and as soon as I wore them out, I got complimented at the first store. :) :)

I just bought those too, and they are sooooo comfortable!

I also got a pair of these Vince eelskin shoes that are super comfy, but I am not sure if they are too casual for me:

I have a pair of Valentino rock studs that are ok but not nearly as comfy.

Depends on if you have wide, 'normal,' or narrow feet. I have wide feet, Ferragamo 37 wide is almost perfect for me (a little loose), so +1 for the Ferragamo Vara suggestion, they're basic and stylish enough for work/casual though the bow can be a +/- depending on your preferred style, have a slight heel which is better for walking than true flats ballet style, and come in a range of widths. For a more affordable option, I spent last winter in NYC in a pair of Kelsi Dagger Brooklyn booties like this:

Saw it a few weeks ago on saks off fifth for around 70. I sized up to 37.5 so I can wear with thicker socks. Just a different style from Vara but I've found the black versatile enough to pair it with pants/dresses and tights, everything except formal.

update - link to it on sale at saks off fifth in black and moss for $60.

Another vote for the Ferragamo Vera. Quality, comfort and versatility wrapped into one. I find Sergio Rossi flats to be very comfortable as well. I've also purchased a pair of very affordable flats from Gilt previously, I believe the brand was Elorie.

A big thank you to the ladies who recommended AGL. I'm gonna go buy some new work shoes!:p
