Hello all,

I've just started looking for a nice goldtone watch, since right now my stainless Hermes one isn't working ( ), and I've always liked gold more anyway (but I love Hermes more!) Either way, i think it'd be nice to have one to switch it up..

So my question is - what are some brands to look into? I don't want anything super expensive, so I was thinking Michael Kors, and I saw this one: http://tinyurl.com/3v99m8f on bloomingdales' website. I like how simple and classy it looks!

I have really tiny wrists though, so I'm not sure if a big watch face would look good on me...what do you think?

TIA!

*~*I love that watch!! That watch was actually what got me interested in Michael Kors watches. I ended up getting a stainless steel one, but you really can't go wrong with any of his watches. As far as size goes, I also have a small wrist, & while the watch is oversized, it's not too large. I'd suggest stopping by a store (Nordstrom or Macy's) if you live near one to try on a watch just for size. Also, the http://forum.purseblog.com/michael-kors/mk-watches-632345.html thread may help you get an idea about sizing. HTH ;) *~*

I like it a lot! But I totally get your problem with small wrists, I don't like big faces either.
My suggestion would be the debutant watch that is gold plated from Folli Follie http://www.follifollie.com/WATCH/FA...F5G084BPS-DEBUTANT/p_31_1_02_28_291922_9.html
which is very feminine in style and different from the MK, I 'm 100% happy with their mechanism and quality and of course good service from the company (I have a stainless steel watch since 1999).

I love the MK watches! I have small wrists too; my wrist measures 5.25" measured snugly. The watch I got is the MK5038. It is a larger faced watch, but I think it's a good size for me. The case on the MK5038 is 36mm. If you get on Amazon, you can look at different MK watches and see the face measurements on them...that really helped me make my decision. Here's a pic of my watch, just to show you how small my wrists are and how the watch looks on a small wrist.

I have small wrists too so I don't wear a lot of big-face watches. Today I'm wearing my D&G watch

*~*I love that Debutant watch!! Are FF watches available in the US (online)??*~*

Thanks for everyone's advice!

NC.girl you really do have a tiny wrist - I just measured mine and mine is still 0.5" bigger than yours! And I thought mine were small! haha That watch looks good on you though.

I'm hoping to have time to stop by Bloomies tomorrow after work before I meet a friend to at least try on the watch...fingers crossed! I'm excited though. :)

luvsit - thanks for the link to the MK watch thread, didn't know there was one! Gonna go check it out now...

The Movado outlet in Riverhead was having a sale last week on some watches -- 70% off original retail price. This one came out to $230 and you can flip over the watch face so that it looks like a bracelet. They'll adjust the bracelet to fit you on the spot, too.
