Gold or Silver hardware on the black classics?

I voted silver because I have it with the silver hardware. Although, I think the gold would be pretty for dressier times. JMO

I thought about getting one with the gold but in a smaller size to be used for evenings and special times.

Ok Ladies, need more opinions on whether the gold hardware or silver hardware looks best on a classic Chanel flap (or reissue.) There are definitely more bags out there with the gold hardware. I tried one on and thought maybe it looked too formal, but then again I wear gold jewelry. Does that make a difference? Not sure which one I should buy. BTW, this is going to be my first Chanel!!! I am so excited

gold is probably more iconic. But I'd choose the color that works bast for YOU.
Silver or similar works best for me.

I prefer white metals and wear them 99% of the time, so I got silver. It really depends on YOUR preferences, what else is in your wardrobe, etc.
