gold prices

usually gold is the one thing that retains it's value. I know people that got out of the stock market and bought gold.

I certainly did. Most of my investment money goes into gold. I have yet to lose a dime. Cannot say the same for other investment avenues.

I personally do not foresee gold prices dropping much anytime soon. If I did, I'd stop buying daily.

From the article:

I caution the reader that I have no known history of forecasting gold prices accurately and that conditions can change.

I have over a decade of experience predicting the gold market and I'm usually right on the money. So I can indeed say with certainty that it is still and will be for some time, a very valuable commodity.

Is is still a good time to sell old jewelry? I sold a lot of broken necklaces and old pieces that I didn't wear anymore, and I got almost $2000.00 in the summer.

IMO, it is. Last I checked gold was sitting at $963USD per ounce. As long as one avoids pawn shops and shady buyers like those fly by night hotel set ups or that Cash For Gold tghing on TV, one can expect to make upwards of 80% of full market value. And since most retail outfitsd ahev seen a dramatic drop in sales since this time last year, more and more of then are getting licensed and bonded as metals brokers. That works to the concumers advantage because these buyers now compete for business by upping their buying prices.

It's actually a really great time to get rid of your unwanted precious metals. Just do it wisely.

Yeah DH went to one of those Cash for Gold places in the mall just to see what it was all about. Absolutely a scam to rip off people. He has a 22 gram white gold ring with just over a carat of small, fair to good quality diamonds.

First they said they'd have to send it out (they don't even have a scale there) and then they said they could give him about $200-300 for it WITH the diamonds. He was like, "Who do you think you're ripping off here?"

He could take the ring back to the jeweler who sold it to him and get the same price he paid 2 years ago- $550.
