I am a *huge* fan of rose gold and consider "normal" gold as being just for old women. However, in the case of diamonds the rose gold is way too dark to make them shine - I made this mistake both on my RG Love pavé and pavé Panthère. Best obviously is WG but YG is fine, too.

Yes I feel the diamonds do not pop in the rose

Thank you very much for your replies m. This will be my first pave piece and I am hugely confused! I thought rherose gold blended in with my skin too much.

I prefer the RG. I believe that is the way RG works - it’s more subtle and more warm in my opinion than YG, which is shinier.

Metals like diamond cuts and settings go in and out of style. For example, when I got married, it was more in style to get a platinum setting for the engagement ring; however, I’m not a silver/platinum type of person so I went for YG. Yet, for the past 5 years or so, I have been purchasing all my rings and bracelets in RG and can’t imagine wearing my YG rings at this time. I find them to be too dated and yellow right now.

For many years and presently, RG is very on trend and YG is currently more out of style or less desirable, but times change and the opposite will be true as it has been in the past.

Either way, you should just choose based on what you feel looks best on you and what you are comfortable in wearing. I think whichever color you choose will always be loved and stand the test of time until you get bored with it!

Can’t go wrong with either but I personally prefer rose gold. Some think rose gold is trendy/will go out of style but I’ve always loved rose gold before it was even popular and would still wear it even if it wasn’t “in style” anymore so go with what you love and you won’t regret it.

YG is classic. It suits everyone, young and old. I think that’s a very safe and beautiful choice.

Tbh yellow gold doesn't suit me, nor does rose gold, but rose gold always tends to feel tacky (subjective personal opinion), there used to be some rare gold that I think was African, it had a total luster and despite not suiting me, I did love the deep rich shine, with my colouring, platinum or silver is simply the better option, I don't know why I don't like rose gold, maybe seen it too much

I can see people not personally liking it against their skin. I was referencing it being suitable for everyone as in age groups.

I think it has to go with your colouring, looks fantastic on mom, on me, absolutely not, never has, nothing against gold, as I said, it suits some people totally, according to the whole spring, summer, autumn, winter type scale, it should suit me but it just doesn't, I love it on others, but more than the tiniest hint of it on me, and it looks like an overkill, I think with the hair and the skin, it is just too much, I need the "cooler" silver as a counterpoint.
