Gold necklace for Christmas

Hi everyone,

I have almost NO gold jewelry, just some two-toned DY pieces. For Christmas, I'm thinking of asking for a gold pendant and chain. I'm leaning toward Tiffany (like most of my silver necklaces) or DY (because my everyday bracelet and rings are DY). A two-toned pendant that can be worn with either silver or gold chains might work.

For some background info... I came up with this idea after I was wearing a cream-colored turtleneck yesterday. I thought it would look great with some pearl earrings and a small gold pendant, but I did not have one gold pendant in my jewelry box. So, the hunt begins. I want something small to medium-sized, on an 18" chain (to wear with turtlenecks), and <$500.

Am feeling the same way, craving gold for some reason now and looking at Tiff's too... not much for under $500 there though!

The Tiffany key pendant is $450 and the X pendant is $400 (I think). The DY pieces are a bit more expensive. I may end up going with a two-toned DY chain. I wish that I could find something a little more unique than all of the Tiffany and DY pieces, though.

Have you taken a look at your local jewelers? Sometimes they will carry items that are very unique/one of a kind.
Tiffany & DY are great for classic looks though!
