I must say I am a bit annoyed with all these "limited" pieces: recently it was Korea, now it is France. And nothing nice and new in regular lines.
I don't mind waiting for a nice piece to arrive to the local store but it seems like VCA is targeted at these exclusive pieces currently.

I wonder if they might also be doing a bit of test marketing to see what is popular or not before they commit to a whole line in pink MOP or gold MOP. It could also be a production supply issue and they may not have enough of these stones to do a global collection. I do enjoy seeing variations of stones but it is annoying that you’d have to travel to these places if you’re not a local.

The gold MOP alternating is beautiful and very elegant, it looks very dressy although it does not have as much striking contrast as white or GMOP but the glow is still there! It would look beautiful against a black outfit.

@nicole0612 Thanks so much for sharing the screenshots, I know you’re considering alternating stones and the pink MOP was on your list. What do you think of the gold MOP?

The Korean special is normal WMOP with RG guilloche, so there is no supply issue there. Last year it was carnelian guilloche - also very common stone but I haven't heard of any replenishments for this line.
I don't think VCA is testing the market. When they want, they just launch: TQ butterflies, coloured Frivole, spiky lotus.
They don't need to test because whatever they issue, will be sold out and they know it, so I am pretty convinced this is some sort of marketing strategy. I got very inspired by the Korean special edition but even if one takes a flight to Seoul, no one would guarantee you'd be able to get a necklace and/or a bracelet.

I would love to buy it if it is possible! I love alternating pieces, and one of my ideal combos would be pave/mop, along with pave/yg hammered.

It is absolutely marketing. All of these brands know how to remain aspirational by keeping some items out of reach (or the illusion of this), while their bread and butter is millions of entry level purchases from people who want a taste of what the brand has to offer. It doesn’t bother me, I just wish I could get everything I love!

Why are there no earrings :-(

I’d like this more if it were hammered gold alternating to bring out the yellow in the mother of Pearl. I’d like it even more if it were all gold mother of pearl and no alternating!

Also annoyed at all these boutique exclusives when traveling isn’t as easy as it use to be.

Excited for those that love alternating pieces though. Anyone see it in person yet?
