Definitely check out the "Brown Color Family" section in the Hermes Reference Thread. There are pictures of gold in both leathers, and I think they look rather different, so it's worth a look! That said, I suspect that if weight is a concern, the experts here on tPF would recommend Swift as the lighter option.

I saw a gold swift today and it looks darker than gold clemence. Both will be floppy for sure and for a 35cm Birkin, I prefer the casual look of clemence.

I like the texture on a 35.
I saw a bolide recently in gold swift and it was gorgeous...

I have an untrained eye, but Gold in Swift reminds me of natural Barenia!

I am a big Swift fan, but I do like the one on Clemence. I say you can't go wrong with either!
