I just got a bag in goat skin. Does anyone know how to take care of it?

I didn't see any particular method in the FAQ and Outside Care threads.

Goat skin is pretty tough. If it gets dirty or dusty, wipe it off with a barely damp lint free cloth. Other than that, do you have any specific questions?

Would you spray it with Shining Monkey or Appleguard?

There are fans of both in the Balenciaga forum. I would check there. Until 2008, balenciaga bags were made of goatskin.

I've never used shining Monkey, but have used Appleguard with great results. The lotion works well, however the rain & spray protectant .. I'd recommend spraying from a good distance.. and just lightly "dusting" it on your BV.

i spray with meltonian. it was recommended by my sa at bv.
maybe ask sa about your particular bag. don't know if meltonian is good for every leather.
