Glue removal from caviar help

I thought there was a thread a while back about excess glue on caviar bags but I can't seem to find it, sorry. Has anyone had success in removing excess glue from a caviar bag (glue along seams/stitching allegedly done by Chanel during the manuf of the bag) - and if so how exactly did you do it or was it removed by a professional without trashing the bag? I am looking to buy a previously owned bag with "glue" spots on the caviar. Thank you!

I just received a bag today that had a spot of glue under the flap. I freaked at first, but I just used a paper towel and rubbed gently until it rolled off. It was pretty easy.

When I purchased my bag last week I noticed a small line of glue on the back pocket my SA took it to their tailor and had him clean it off.
