Hiii alll,

I have forever lusted over the YSL Cabas chyc and the Givenchy Pandora.
It’s time to buy one of them, but I can’t decide.

I WFH, have 2 young boys, and want something a bit more casual than all my current YSL/Gucci/Prada/miumiu (plus contemporary) collection.

Thoughts on which would be the best casual bag. Must be cross body sizes.

had to google the cabas chyc. fyi, i have multiple pandas in med and sm. the cabas looks like a work bag or a "leaning" towards lady-who-lunch type bag, and it looks big in pics.

based on your wfh and 2 small kids lifestyle, i'd go with the panda. by nature it makes outfits look more chic w/o trying too hard or too formal looking, which i feel the cabas can be. it's more under the radar, and is of great quality. none of the quick pics i saw of the cabas show it being used by the strap, and the panda has the edge in that it looks great over the shoulder or crossbody.

since they're kind of diff style bags to me, you need to decide which one you can get more use out of now, instead of later.

I have a YSL baby cabas and 4 Givenchy Pandora in mini and small sizes. Both bags are great for casual and running daily errands imo. But since my cabas has gold hardware and I dressed it up with twilly on the handles, I'm able to wear it for work or daytime dates as well though I tend to wear the cabas as a crossbody.

Admittedly, I tend to reach for my Pandoras. They're small but I can store all of my essentials. Pretty light and rests comfortably on your shoulders despite overloading it with stuff. Only downside is that the crossbody straps for the small Pandoras aren't adjustable. However, Givenchy's leather is gorgeous and they get better the more you use it.
