Givenchy - no authenticity card or serial#?

I just got a GV3 small and it's my first Givenchy bag. I noticed there is no serial number anywhere (that I can find) and no authenticity card. It came with a little booklet and a leather swatch I guess for repairs? And the tags plus dustbag. The store it shipped from didnt even include a Givenchy box.

Do Givenchy bags not come with serial numbers or authenticity cards like Chanel YSL etc??
I am not really suspicious of the store as I looked them up and it's a legit luxury store in Italy.

They come with care cards. And they do have serial numbers. All of them :)

LOL. There is a serial code for every bag (Even SA's from the store said so). But the location varies between each purse. You may have to call up Givenchy.

That's probably a fake since many replicas come with leather swatches so buyers can test if it is real leather or not. Even if you find the serial number please check the date of manufacture that it indicates.

I am fairly sure it's not fake as it came brand new from a high end boutique in Italy who gets them directly from Givenchy. The swatches I know many bags do come with them. That's not an indicator of a fake.

Does it smell like PVC? Mine did. Or is the leather smooth and soft (real) and not smooth and hard (fake)

Here's a lising I found on Yoogi's, the serial number is shown in the picture second to last. I can't quite tell where it's placed exactly, since I don't own a GV3, but hopefully it will give you ideas as to where to look.

Ahhhhhh it's on the outside that's why I couldn't find it!! Thanks!!! Its in the little slip pocket between the second and third main compartments. Those little slip pockets are the outside leather because of how the sections were sewn together. Found it on mine! Everything matches up!

Awesome! Congrats on your bag. Those fringes look nice, they really do go with the overall style of the GV3, IMO.
