Givenchy gv3 - why isn’t this bag so hot ?

I’ve seen givenchy gv3 bag in medium size (chestnut) in person and honestly I am blown away how beautiful it was.
I am wondering why this bag isn’t as popular as some similar bags .

Any owners of this bag could give me some feedback ? Are you happy with it ?

Two negatives I can point out was strap is not adjustable . And there is a suede part and that makes any girl nervous .
Solution for the suede part is to professionally water treat it . This way it’s waterproof and back of the bag is pebbled leather so it’s not suede and you don’t have to worry about rubbing into clothes.

Amazing space inside , compartments are unbelievably chic . I never seen a bag opens like accordion and has beautiful shape like that. Simple yet logo stands out. Brassy logo shines subtly . It just seems like such a exciting bag.

I would love to hear your opinions about this beauty !

I love this bag. Don't have it, but I'm definitely eyeing it.
I agree with all the points you made on how this bag is so subtle and elegant, and the logo is quite large, but not in your face at all.
I really don't know, though, if it's a good or a bad thing that the GV3 isn't very hyped. Probably both.

Givenchy is known for under the radar bags. By the time the antigona became in demand, most of us in this sf have owned it for many years already. My preference actually is to not be carrying something everyone else has tbh.

Omg that’s so hot , I didn’t even know . Like secret society of under radar ... I don’t have a givenchy bag and my sister has antiago bag and I wasn’t really into it because I don’t like bulky bags . She says it’s her dream bag lol

Anyways I need a bag that I can wear with camel coats .Crossbody bags I’m very comfortable with. So I got this Gucci Dionysus in small blue with crystals and even though I love it . No use out of it because it’s not a daytime bag I feel like . Also it’s a handbag or shoulder bag option only . Do you think I should return that one and get givenchy gv3 in medium ? I feel like givenchy one I can wear more because it’s so versatile . I also like Gucci because it’s really good looking bag.

I've had my GV3 medium for a year now, I have the all leather version in black. I've posted pics here: https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/givenchy-gv3-medium.1003769/ the lining inside is suede though.

I like it for the most part but it can get annoying to open if I've only got one hand free. I've had instances where I struggle to get things out if I'm using the longer strap because of the accordion-like way it opens.

It's surprisingly the bag I use more when it's a bit rainy/snowy - but then I have the all leather version so it's not very hard to maintain. I used to stuff it so much so the leather edging on the flap has cracked...an SA told me that was normal but if you don't stuff it I guess it should be fine.

Good looking and versatile and not mutually exclusive. Look for an all leather, pebbled if you prefer, gv3 instead of the suede. Return the Gucci since it doesnt get much wear and you are attracted to other styles that are more practical. If not the gv3, there are many options out there. Best is to go and try lots of them on in store, if possible.

Agree! This is a stunning bag and seems to have flown under the radar somehow but it’s beautiful!!

I have the small GV3 on the fringe style black. No suede so not worried about that. I love the design with the shorter chain so much that I am altering a Brahmin bag to have that same kind of look. With the small size GV3, the strap fits me perfectly either crossbody or single shoulder. I'm only 5'2" for reference. Not sure how the medium would fit on me.

I have had this bag in this exact color for a little over a year now. It is probably my most used, but you would never know it! It has held up impeccably well and the interior is so much more practical than I would have thought. I’m constantly amazed I don’t see it more, because it’s such a beautiful bag! Definitely one I will have for many years to come...

Finally picked this up. You all know Givenchy croc embossed is near and dear to my heart and one of the best mock versions I've ever seen.
