I recently purchased a watch at Dillards on a total impulse and now I'm not only in love with this one, but want many, many more!!! I was passing time while I waited to get my nails done and spotted the cutest Kenneth Cole watch on a small SALE table at Dillards. It's an automatic and I love that I don't have to worry about batteries. It's got a great HOT pink/magenta leather embossed strap, and diamond accents at the 3,6,9 & 12 marks. Granted they are nothing more then small chips, but they add a little sparkle. I couldn't pass it up for less then $25 bucks out the door.

Now, I'm a total jewelry JuNkIe but this is the 1st time in my life I've taken watches seriously. I'm more into rings and necklaces. Now I'm all about my watch...and I want MORE!!!!

I'd like to start collecting but have no plans to "blow the budget." I'd like to stay in the $200 and less catagory. I know alot of you gal's spend big bucks on your time pieces and I ENVY you, but that's my amount for a watch. Can you all suggest some good quality pieces and brands?! I love BLING and anything BIG & BOLD!!!

I also have no problems with "pre-loved" if they are good, quality pieces.

I've pictured a Kenneth Cole below that's VERY similiar to the one I purchased, keep in mind mine is PINK. Maybe it'll give you a jumping off point as far as style!!

You can find Coach watches (they are made by Movado) in that price range at Coach & Movado outlets, as well as Nordstrom Rack. I have a Coach Ali watch from a couple years ago that I love the look of. :tup: That and my Michele have been my go-to's lately.

I just picked this up to see how I like the standard stainless with some bling. I didn't figure I could go wrong for $66 bucks. I want the Coach stainless boyfriend watch too, but wanted something with some sparkle to start with.

I'm going to put a high quality watch on my 5 year ann. wishlist coming up this July!! Until then I'm going to stay in a lower price range and see what styles I like and work for me. The one I currently wear has the leather strap so we'll see how I do with the stainless!!!

I picked up the cutest watch this weekend at TJMaXX!!!

It's nothing special as far as the brand goes, it's just a Peugeot but it's sooo summery and FUN!!! It has swarovski crystals and I know white watches are In big time!!

I love, love, love the jewelry counter at TJ MaXX because there are always really affordable pieces that you don't see in every store!!!

I love Toywatch!! I've had several and they are so light and cute and have lasted YEARS!!! Also, I've had great success with Swatch--I can't remember the style--Full-blooded? I have that in black and gold. I also have a rubber Zodiac watch--love that too. The only one I DO NOT RECOMMEND is Michael Kors. And, its a shame b/c I love his clothes and shoes--and bags. And, the watches look so cool. The one I got last year lasted about 6months, then the dial you set the time with completely fell out. It was also tarnished in about a month. and was HEAVY. Its a shame. Enjoy your new obsession!! I, too, am a watch freak. Oh! Totally forgot--TIMEX. LOVE them. I have three. and have never had a problem. Bloomie's has some new cool ones--vintage. All the best!
