I thought I’d treat myself to a new LV bag (Odeon MM). Realised before it came that the strap would be too short again. I already bought extenders for my Alma bb and I drew the line at doing that for one bag. So she’ll have to go back. What’s with the stingy length from LV? No harm done back to the drawing board just really annoying! The bag itself is lovely but I don’t want to adjust the strap when it should be plenty long enough, rant over

That subject line...:giggle: Any other Office fans here?

Anyway, I agree the straps are frustratingly short. The cynic in me wonders if they do it on purpose so that we'll buy additional straps.
Yup, or that they want stick thin models to have them. It’s frustrating because I love LV! But they seem to be going more abstract then sticking to classic designs. All I want is a easy going every day large-ish messenger style LV bag with damier with black or ebene leather. All the best styles seem to be discontinued

Agreed! There are some LV bags that don’t have removable straps, so you couldn’t lengthen them even if you wanted to, which is unfortunate. It’s sooooo frustrating! Is it that difficult to make an adjustable strap? When you do need just a couple extra inches, the keychain extender LV used to make would be perfect for this, but they discontinued it ages ago.

ETA: I have the older style Odeon and the strap on that is adjustable. Why are they always “improving” things?

@JuiceBox I am with you big time! I picked up the Odeon PM and although, at 5 feet tall, I can wear it crossbody, I had to use the second-to-last strap hole in order to keep the strap end tucked into the little strap holder. At that length, it is not ideal for me. I added a gold ring as an extender to each side and it works perfectly now with its original strap and for any shorter straps that I want to use.

Well this is the thing, the strap is adjustable however, it’s just bit too high up. There’s also a strap holder loop sewn on which if you used the last hole the strap doesn’t even feed into it so it just looks weird. all for the sake of a couple of inches it’s going back, so silly!

I just hate having to augment a bag in order for it to be useable, I was even looking at the men’s bags and all of the straps are so much more generous than bags for women. I don’t know why that is considering they don’t have to compete with hips and a chest while trying to wear a bag

I know... I wish LV would allow for a few strap options for each bag (and of course, they would charge accordingly LOL). When I complained about the length of the strap, my SA said, "It's the style now to have a crossbody worn higher up." Um, not for this old lady! LOL

Ugh, I didn’t realize it‘s adjustable and still too short. So frustrating!

I know it is absolutely annoying that a bag can’t come ready to be used and self modifications are required to make it work. But just to chime in, the bandoulière XL adjustable really is a great strap if you change your mind. I justify it by saying that I use it on multiple bags. I feel y’a though.
