Girl is claiming a consignment shop sells Gucci for $15

Not sure if I can post this here, but this poster on another board I'm a member of claims she got these Gucci bags for $15 at a consignment store.

I am a bit skeptical.

I am skeptical as well. $15 sounds way too good to be true.

If she did lucky her, sometimes people don't know what they're selling. In consignment shops they usually do though, and as a business they like to make a profit.

Looking at it logically:

Shop takes 50% that leaves $7.50 for the seller. How many would sell a Gucci for that?

And the store; would they go to all the trouble of taking an item in, entering it on a computer, heating and lighting a shop, paying staff and an accountant for $7.50?

all in all it sounds like a bit of a whopper to me

I agree. I've seen fake Gucci and LV handbags at the Salvation Army thrift store for $10
