Suits spin-off confirms who will be starring with Gina Torres

The world of Suits is undergoing quite the change at the moment. The main show lost its leading stars Patrick J Adams and Meghan Markle, and now Gina Torres is getting her own spin-off.
The new show will be titled Second City, and will centre around Jessica Pearson (Torres) in the power broking world of Chicago's local government.
Deadline has now confirmed the regular cast members who will be starring alongside Torres and previously-confirmed Simon Kassianides and Morgan Spector.
One Tree Hill star Bethany Joy Lenz, The 100's Eli Goree, Wynonna Earp's Chantel Riley and The Oath's Isabel Arraiza will all be joining the regular cast of Second City.
Lenz's character is going to be a recast Keri Allen, after Rebecca Rittenhouse played the role in the backdoor pilot in Suits season 7. Keri is described as a "driven, ambitious" attorney and the mayor's unofficial right hand woman.
Meanwhile, Riley is reprising her role from the same backdoor pilot episode, playing nursing assistant and Jessica's cousin Angela Cook, who's suspicious of Jessica's sudden altruism.
Goree will star as Derrick Mayes, a former journalist-turned-press secretary who is naive about the world of politics, while Arraiza will play Jessica's assistant Yoli Castillo, who is described as intense. Both are new characters for the spin-off.
The publication states that Second City is "starting production" in Los Angeles, does that mean it's already underway? We hope so, we need more Gina Torres in our lives.
Suits airs on USA in the US and on Netflix in the UK.
