GG Marmont metalesse shoulder bag

Hi all

Is the leather on the Marmont metalesse shoulder bag delicate? Will this bag scratch easily? I asked the SA and she told me that the bag is calfskin and won't scratch because of the Chevron pattern. However it seemed more like lambskin to me. So I thought I would tap the collective wisdom of tPF

I own a version of this bag (see link below) and have used it daily for two weeks. I do not baby my bags and have not found a scratch on it. I really love the bag as I can wear it cross body as well and the bag is fairly light. Hope this helps.
