Hello to all of you fellow fashionable people. I was hoping to get some advice/input on my next purchase. I am absolutely in love with the GG Marmont collection and the GG Ghost. I think Alessandro Michele has done a bang up job on reviving the luxury brand. With that said, I am head over heels in love with the new pink flap Marmont Matelasse bag. The color is just nothing I have seen before and the leather seems durable and not prone to scratching. I also am in love with the Gucci Princetowns. Question is I can only get one, so which one?

I go to Las Vegas tomorrow and would love to bring back a Gucci goody. As much as I love the purse, I wonder if it will stand the test of time? My immediate gut reaction is hell no, but that lilacy pink is seriously mesmerizing and tugs at my heart strings. The shoes are also fabulous with the fur and so luxurious, but I feel like I will be scared to walk in the street for fear of getting the fur dirty. So maybe the non-fur princetowns would be an option? The fur ones are just amazing though. If I had all the money in the world I would buy all three and those pink fur and ghost prince-towns, but gotta be smart here.

That sugar pink is quite rare in the huge world of handbags, especially with the strong gold hw. For people who need a strong, light, cool blue-pink it must be irresistible, if that is your pink I would go for the bag.

On the other hand...

I think the Princetowns have already achieved classic status - problem is you will want another pair. I have the Amstels with the fur, people literally follow me down the street but the fur does limit their use (is gonna rain? Is it too hot? can I wear with/without socks? etc) so I'd go for the non-fur version for your first or only pair.

I am so in love with that pink! I think it might be best to get the bag first, since they will always have the black shoes. Ultimately, it needs to be what you will wear most. All of them are amazing choices.
I ended up getting the black Princetowns with the floral embroidery, since my Golden Retriever would be waaaay to interested in the fur ones!
I would love that pink handbag too!

Although the colour isn't right for me, I think the pink Marmont bag is fabulous and gorgeous and I adore the runway and street style pictures of it. As others have already noted, it's an unusual shade of delicious candy pink and it's the stand out bag in this style of solid colour Marmont leather bags IMHO.
I haven't yet got around to taking pictures but I have one of the velvet Marmont bags and it's wonderful. The style is quite classic ( I hesitate to say that the bag has a Chanel feeling, but it does) and it's easy to to wear. Love the versatile chain with tonal leather.
As for the Princetowns, definitely yes to the black with or without fur depending on your preference. I prefer furless, and they're cheaper. I own four fabulous furless pairs :heart::heart::heart::heart:
So I would suggest getting the bag now and shoes later :smile:

I think that the Princetowns without fur is the most classic option so they get my vote. On the other hand it sounds like that the pink Marmont bag is calling your name. If you thing that shade of strong pink is your color for many years to come, then get the bag or you might regret it.

The bag color is almost identical to Balenciaga's Rose Beringot View attachment 3478999 so the color is in circulation if you want to find it through Gucci, or other brands. Gucci did a cool toned pink last year and it was eventually discounted. (I bought it and returned it.) My vote is for the Princetowns without fur!!! I believe the shoes are more classic than the bag, plus less expensive. If you wait on the bag, it will likely go on sale.
