Getting Watch Bands Sized for Free at a Jewelry Store... Tacky?

So I'm a big fan of getting my watches from overstock.com. I used to take them to a place at the mall that would size them for $10, but then I happened to find a jewelry store that offered to size them for free. They ended up sizing two watches for me for free, and I have yet to purchase anything from their store, though I do anticipate doing so eventually...

My question is, is it tacky for me to take a third watch in for them to size for free? I don't want to be "that person," lol. But it is nice to save $10 (see, I'm cheap - this is why I buy watches on overstock.com, lol).

I'd appreciate any feedback.

Thanks!

You know what? I would ask them if it's ok with them.

They may want you to come in and look around from time to time. Having people outside see people in the store may be good for business. They may want you to tell their friends. They may know that free watch sizing results in more business for them overall.

If it's just labor and not costing them anything additional, then it's entirely up to them if they want to continue doing it for free.

If they look at you funny or are not entirely welcoming, I might go somewhere else. Or you could offer to pay them for sizing if you like how they do it. They will probably say no.

I would definitely look around when you are there though. Try some pieces on, ask some questions, tell them what pieces you like and will think about.

If you are posting on the Internet about their pieces, that could help them too. Or if you post a review about their service, that may be a way to reward them.

From what I recall, you have to be a member of purseforum for a certain number of days (maybe 5???) and have a certain number of posts (10???) after you sign up to be able to start a new thread or private message people.

Maybe that's why you are getting that error message?

You can try searching for a thread with a topic similar to that of your question and add your question to that thread.

Alright, to get this thread back on track:

Thanks for the advice. I've looked around a lot at their store, and have gone in on multiple occasions to browse. I just haven't fallen in love with anything quite yet. I think for now I'll favorite them on Facebook, follow them on Twitter, and post a 5-star review for them on Yelp. That'll alleviate most of the guilt, lol.
