getting rid of sideburns

  1. I have sideburns so never put my hair up, is there anyone to remove them without scarring my face?
  2. You can try threading - it's an Indian technique used for eyebrow shaping, but I believe you can get it done on sideburns (and even upper lip, forehead and um... a few other places I think). If you're located in the Bay Area, there's this really good lady called Deepa who does threading. If you're not in the Bay Area, I guess you can always do a Yelp search...that's how I found out about Deepa.
  3. you can use pretty much very type of hair removal that exists... shave, wax, laser, thread, and so forth.

I know shaving sounds weird for a woman, but when I started laser hair removal I had to shave my face, and my skin has NEVER been better, it was much less harsh on my face than any other type of hair removal.
  4. I tweeze mine. It hurts like hell, but the results are worth it...
  5. How long does threading last?
  6. ooh that sounds good!
i tried shaving mine before but it just ended up looking really weird so i stopped
and at work i have to tie my hair up in a ponytail which totally sucks!
  7. Hi! I actually thread mine. Everybody's hair grows back at a different rate. Mine grows back in like 2 weeks. The threading is a little painful sometimes but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. It honestly just feels like they're rolling the thread over your skin.
  8. yay for laser hair removal
  9. I thread my eyebrows and it usually lasts for about 3 - 4 weeks although the lady told me to come back every 2 weeks. Maybe it's because I wait until my eyebrows get too bushy before I go and get it threaded again :shame: It's really fast though! Only about 10 minutes or so
  10. I wouldnt shave your sideburns, either wax, get it threaded or even laser.
