Getting oil out of suede

I feel like I'm going to cry!

I'm wearing my brand new Sam Edelman pink suede shoes to work today and someone just spilled oil all over them in the work kitchen! Is there any way to salvage these?! This is my firs ttime wearing them

I'm sorry to hear that. That person needs to buy you new shoes - you should demand that.

Ha! I wish! That would never happen, not with her or anyone else in this office. I was told that I shouldn't wear "such expensive clothing" to work..... like SE's are even expensive!! And, I work at a marketing agency in HR. Not a mechanic shop.

Cornstarch, regular flour, baby powder... get something powdery on it and it will suck up a lot of the oil. Pretty sure cornstarch works best but use whatever till you can get some. Leave it on for a long time, like 24 hours.

Good luck! Just to manage your expectations a little, I've never had it work 100% but it definitely has helped to fade the stain a lot.

Try using baby powder! It works on oil stains on clothing, but I haven't tried it on suede. No harm giving it a try!
