Where do u usually go?

I have two pairs of RR that r too long for me. I was tbinking of a local dry cleaning shop.... But am not sure of the quality of their work. Doesn't nordstrom do hemming too? How much is it if i didn't buy the jeans at their store?

thanks you two. i'll checkout the dry cleaner near home then.

(I am still working, hoping to fit into these two pair of jeans. LOL RR sizes do run a lot smaller than Joes, don't they? I am a 24 in Joes yet I cannot fit into a size 25 in RR.)

When I used to wear boot cut jeans, I would get my jeans hemmed at Nordstrom (free if you purchase your jeans from them). I used to ask for the European hem (original hem), which basically just means the keep the original hem while shortening the length--therefore, the distressing the perfect thread thickness and color matches the rest of the jeans. But since I only wear skinny jeans now, I just stack the hem.

VietlOtUs: make sure you ask the seamstress at the dry cleaner/tailor place if she knows how to sew the original hem back onto the shortened jeans. If you don't ask specifically for the "original hem", some seamstress would just shorten the jeans for you and throw the original hem away. It doesn't hurt to "stress" on the "original hem" part.

I've had my jeans shortened both ways before, and I prefer original hem since it keeps the jeans' style & originality. A good seamstress would be able to do that for you and you won't even notice that the jeans have been altered once it's done. Good luck
