Getting cute colors!

As I am new to Hermes - only buys things randomly and don’t maintain a relationship with an SA. I am curious to know…

How the heck am I going to get something I like in a specific color.

For example… I LOVE the color Jaune Poussin. How will I ever find a Bearn cardholder, a RMS cardholder, or a calvi in this particular color?

I think you just discovered why it’s a good idea for every client to start a relationship with an SA…

Additionally regarding the specific color you mentioned: Jaune Poussin is a seasonal color from a couple seasons back - 2021SS - and we’ve not really seen it recently, so I think it’s likely that it’s currently rested. Although it’s not impossible for 2021 colors to still show up occasionally in things here and there it’s probably unlikely. It’s always possible Hermes brings the color back to production but I don’t think anyone can say when.

Generally speaking, if you have something very specific you want, the best thing to do is to have an SA who can look it up / source / put your name down for you. Barring that, unfortunately website stalking/random walk in are the only options left, and you would just need a loooot of luck.

ETA: many of us miss out on (seasonal) colors we love! And quite often it’s because we come into Hermes after it was in production. So you aren’t alone Hermes always has new colors and you can try to find new ones to enjoy / maybe new colors are similar to the shade you love but missed. If you see any currently produced seasonal color that you love, don’t hesitate to grab it when you can (but yeah again, best course of action would be to have an SA)

Without maintaining an SA relationship, the only way to get exactly the colour/item you want is by purchasing on the H website or from secondhand sources. I cannot speak for many other brands, but at Hermès, maintaining a relationship with an SA is important and almost always positively rewarded. Jaune Poussin is an older colour that was reintroduced a couple seasons ago, but I have not seen much of it recently for SLGs. You never know when Hermès will rest a colour or design, so I would suggest finding an SA you click with in the near future.

There is a Sun yellow this season but if you want an older seasonal colour you'll have to look at resellers.

If you know what you're looking for, I actually think it helps your SA. Even if you don’t get what you want this season or even year, s/he can get a better understanding of your likes and dislikes and offer you something that may fit the bill eventually.

I normally want a neutral classic colour so it's not an issue (Gold or Noir and so on). I didn't know I wanted Bambou until I saw it, I think that's my only 'cute' colour really.
