Okay, so a few years ago I brought a lizard flap from Malleries.
It's an older bag, with 7 numbers on the serial.

But the lizard skin looks dry and almost plastic. I have another lizard flap from Gucci that's new and it looks more "rich" and "shiny". Is the bag maybe fake or is lizard skin aging like this?
This one is more matte and the skin is feeling very plastic compared to the new one.

Beautiful ladies, please teach me about the lizard! :P

Lizard skins are dry, but I would suggest having the bag authenticated to clear your doubts. You can do it online for a very small fee.
