Hello all,

I’m kind of new here so I’m not sure if this thread is in the right place or not. If no, my apologies.

Anyway, I recently purchased a Ponthieu Pm in taupe glacé empriente leather. The bag has some pen marks on the exterior and the lining is a bit dirty. Does LV do bag cleaning? If not, is it generally safe to take it to a business that specializes in cleaning and restoring luxury bags?

Thank you!

There is a cobbler in my area that can perform miracles. I have no personal experience with removing pen from leather by in-house spa services at LV, but I have seen what my really talented cobbler has done with mangled Chanel, Goyard, and a whole bunch of my shoes. The only designer I wouldn't outsource for spa services is Hermès. For a brand like LV, I'd rather send the bag to a well regarded local professional because you are likely to incur a much lower cost of service and have a much faster turnaround time. Frankly, you'll also probably get much better customer service, and you'd be supporting a local business.

Awesome. Thank you for the advice! Taking it to a local place was my inclination but I wanted to get a second opinion first.
