Hi all - Strange question here and wasn’t sure how to search for it...

I know that LV keeps a record of all of an individuals purchases and they cross reference this if you need repairs etc. I recently bought a new-to-me bag which came with the receipt, including who originally purchased it. I’m wondering if it’s reasonable to ask my SA now to add this bag to my account? So in the off hand chance I lose the receipt or their is a recall etc. they know I own the bag.

Thanks!

After some additional thought I have another suggestion. I don’t recall the thread, nor who commented, but I recall some who had a good relationship with their SA and used them to help authentic Pre Loved bags. I mention it b/c that lets me know that SOME SA’s are aware we buy 2nd hand and my be willing to help/sympathetic to your situation. Especially if the item is out of production. You might just call your local store (or any store for that matter) and ask the question.

Thanks for the suggestion. I actually reached out to my SA who said it wasn’t possible. I wonder if I might have more luck just walking in with the bag and talking to a random SA. It is a discontinued bag so I had to buy pre-loved. Or I wonder if I just say it was a gift as recommended above.

I have never heard of any Client Advisors/Client Services transferring purchase history from one account to another, even for just one purchase and even if you showed the original purchase receipt.

I brought in a 6 key holder that was preloved to get the glazing fixed (under a year old, so fixed for free). I had the original receipt with me in case they asked, but they didn't and repaired it for me without hassle.

Actually my SA did this for me. For some reason for Nigo the corporate manager created a new account for me. After that my SA merged my account so that my Nigo purchases were merged.

Interesting. Did you buy the nigo purchases directly from LV?

For VICs the launch was like supreme. After you were nominated someone from corporate contacted you and gave you links to purchase. They created a new account for me to do that ... that’s why my SA wanted to merge it for me afterwards.
