I was in Tiffany's the other day and decided I just had to have one of the DBTY solitaire necklaces. I should say my wedding set is white gold, all my necklaces are white gold or silver and due to metal allergies in my ears I can only wear titanium (bezel set cz's). But for some reason I am SO drawn to the yellow gold.
After much researching I decided I am in fact going to get the necklace made by Brian Gavin which then threw in the option of rose gold! I am most visually drawn to the rose gold, but I'm just not convinced rose gold would be as versatile or classic. My husband is going to get me the mini heart lock pendant in rose gold for something coming up, so maybe thats all the rose gold I'd need? I'm just worried about regretting getting yellow gold down the road with everything else being white metals. I don't think I'd regret getting it in white gold, I'm just not sure I find it as stunning as the yellow.
Another thing I keep trying to factor in is the seasons. I;m not sure if I just like the YG because it's so drab and wintery here. And my winter clothes are far more fashionable and classy than my summer ones...lol. When summer roles around and my tattooed rocker chick side comes out..will I still like the yg? I don't know.
I know a few of you on here have a DBTY in more than one metal color. Which is your favorite and why? And anyone else's opinions are greatly appreciated as well!

good point. I emailed BGD to tell them white gold. I will get the most wear out of it and they are short enough if I really want to add gold to my life later, I can just layer..or like you said, get a second (waaaay down the road). :-)

Another option is getting the yellow and if you really do not wear it or like it you can always get it dipped (rhodium plated) and make it white gold. Just a thought.

I didn't know DBTY "white metals" came in anything other than platinum and silver! If you're allergic and you were drawn to the YG ... get that one!

Oh sorry you are not getting the DBTY solitaire. In that case ... I think rose gold looks very feminine, I love them. But if you're worried your biker chick side may not like it come summer, why not get the white gold? It complements the diamond well. :)
