Has anyone had any experience buying jewelry from costco?

I was looking to buy a sapphire and diamond ring like this-
https://www.costco.com/Blue-Sapphire-and-Diamond-14kt-White-Gold-Ring.product.100430748.html

However, they dont include any documents from a certified gemologist so i know nothing about the sapphire except that it is 1 carat. I am also not a gem expert so have no idea if this looks like a good stone. Has anyone purchased diamonds/gems from costco? How was your experience?

Their gems are really quite nice! I've bought a white gold ruby and diamond ring, a yellow gold citrine ring, white gold diamond earrings, pearl earrings, a pearl pendent on a white gold chain from Costa and have been equally impressed and satisfied with the quality, price and quality of each piece.

Thank you! I took the plunge and ordered this- I'm pretty pleased so far! May consider appraising them- Has anyone had their costco jewelry appraised? Did the value come out higher, lower, or the same as what you paid for it?

They have nice jewelry. Got 2 custom made good bracelets and the quality is amazing. I looked up the company who made it and the same exact bracelets were 1000 dollars more each. I had my daughters’ names embossed on them. Ordering a solid heavy gold rope chain for my son.

Certain stores do. My hubby and I ordered 2 14K 8 mm with daughters’ names on it. I wanted my daughters’ names so that I can “smile” every time I see them. They also can make custom designed ones. Here’s a pic. They are known as Hawaiian Gold bracelets and will ship to you.

I have a few things from Costco, my diamond stud earrings and a morganite necklace they both came with papers. My lower end gold items came with nothing. I think almost anything with stone comes with a paper it also helps them in the return process.

It's about half what I would pay for anything comparable in Switzerland. Costco doesn't ship internationally and your credit card has to be US-based, so there were a couple of extra steps in the buying process, but it should be here within two weeks. Will report back when it arrives.

A good friend of ours works at Costco (not involved in any way in our purchase) and he does buy jewelry there for his mom and girlfriend. He bought his girlfriend a diamond tennis bracelet (no employee discount :-s ) that she loves. If they get to the "next step" :heart: in their relationship, he will buy the engagement ring there as well.

Well, we won't be getting the necklace. After taking our money, Costco then sent an email cancelling the order and won't explain why. Say it will take at least a week to get the money back in our account. Forget it. The necklace is made in Italy, will be easier and more pleasant to buy it there after getting our vaccines. :mad:
