Hi, I have recently acquired a Galliera GM in damier azur. It’s in excellent condition and I can’t wait to use it! However, I’m concerned about the Inventeur plate and how to keep it looking good. It has very few scratches
as you can see. I ordered plate protector from Havre deLuxe but it doesn’t fit and appears to be for an Eva plate which is smaller. I can return it but it’ll cost $100 to send back to England. I then ordered one from an Etsy seller and it fits but looks like hell. See first picture. Any suggestions? I’d appreciate any input! Wow your plate really looks fantastic. You won't like this advice, but: Just use the bag as is. That's right, no film, which will just make it look strange or like you forgot to peel something off. Try to not have impact on the plate to the extent you can. Bags acquiring signs of use is what's supposed to happen and will happen. You're a careful owner no doubt, so it won't be anything too scary.

Thank you for the advice. I am careful with my bags so hopefully the plate will stay pretty pristine.

I wouldn't put any sticky protector on the plate. The glue residue can cause damage over time, especially if left on for a long time. I had one on my Pochette metis and it left some glue residue on a couple of the edges and i tried to get it of with a soft cloth and ended up scratching the hardware! My Galliera has a few fine scratches but it's not noticeable as the plate is still shiny. Enjoy your gorgeous bag!
