FYI: Message from eBAY about Reporting

The ebay "special reps" probably make a note and then just go cut a bigger % deal with the fakers. (i.e "continue to keep your listing up, but we charge you more.") Ebay really doesn't seem to care now about taking down the sellers with fakes, only the fees they are generating. It's a shame. But we keep on reporting anyway...
I guess my luck ran out .... the rest of the bags are still in active auctions. One bag/wallet combo is so hideously fake (it is in the 'Stevie' category) that I actually emailed the seller. I asked for photos of the paper hang tag (this is a supposed Burberry product). I was trying to feel around to see if the seller knew anything about the brand and maybe the lightbulb would go on in their head 'hey....my bag doesn't have this and it should!' Well, my strategy didn't work - this is the reply that I received: I get these straight out new york from an aunt that is high end in a factory for processing and placing these purses in stores all over the world.

And ebay takes their time reviewing :lolots: our reports of fake items???

Well, after that reply I got on live chat and the rep seemed intelligent. He took the auction number and is going to report it to the correct department. I also gave them the list of the other auctions that need to be pulled.

Let's see if anything is done!!:sleepy:

Well, ladies, it is working in reverse. I just had a bag pulled for an "ebay policy violation" that is authentic. And, with *bay, sellers are definitely "guilty until they can find the right person" to prove innocence, LOL. I haven't found that person yet, though.

I have also reported several bags lately that are still listed which are mostly definitely fake.

OMG! What morons.... *sigh*
