hi ladies! would love some insight or help on this topic. I am redoing a gorgeous russian sable coat and wanted to put in a custom fun lining. Can anyone show me their furs if they did fun prints or anything out of the ordinary (aka not just a brown satin/silk). Thank you so much

For reference, I saw this tiktok page where the woman had a pink mink done by pologeorgis and put in a funky lining

My wild-type is unlined and has fancy stitching (it was a competition entry)

Others are lined, but I wouldn't do pure silk for choice especially silk-satin. I'd do a silk/cotton or silk/linen mix. It will still 'breath' but won't slip.

Would love to see some of yours ! Thank you for the input.

They're in a lot of the old fur threads. I haven't bought anymore recently.

My only sable (beyond scarves/stoles) is a Carlo Tivoli Prime. I didn't have it made, I bought it more for the outside. It just has the signature 'alphabet soup' jacquard-print lining in tonal brown in cotton/silk.

I have a bright yellow/gold silk with white, black ornaments. Kind of like Versace style. It goes well with dark sable with grey. My coat is long so when I walk you can see glimpses of that silk.
