I wanted to share about my FUE hair transplant experience at Motion Clinic because I didn't see as many reviews about hair transplant on Purse Forum. I chose to come to Korea because I was going to get a couple of plastic surgery procedures. I am a Korean American male in my early 30s, who was experiencing receding hair lines in the front (M shape) and towards the top back, which are both common areas. I wasn't completely balding but definitely recognized hair loss when I saw pics from my early/mid 20s and wanted to take care of it early before it gets worse. I thought now is the time because the pandemic is basically coming to an end, everyones going back to the office, and there won't really be another opportunity like this.
I did due diligence on different clinics and the type of treatment I should get for about 6-12 months prior to coming to Korea. I reached out to multiple clinics:
Motion Clinic
Dana PS
ForHair
NHI Korea
It was tough to get a response from a couple of places and some places estimated a very high number of grafts. All of the places recommended grafts ranging from 2,000 - 3,000 for my case. After going through brief online consultations, I decided to schedule an appointment with Motion Clinic two months ahead for several reasons:
1. They advised 2,200, which seemed the most reasonable for my case and was slightly below the median/average
2. Kim, the person who I was consulting with via email, was very prompt with responding back and provided all important details
3. The price was very reasonable with a discount applied and no security deposit was required
4. I read and watched reviews online (especially Hairliciously on YouTube) regarding Motion Clinic
On the day of treatment, I went in-person to meet with Kim, Dr. Paek, and the staff. We went through final details for about the first 30-45min and started the procedure. My treatment took about 8 hours because the staff was very meticulous with each and every step in the process and because I had thick skin, so it was hard to work with. By the end of the procedure, I was very satisfied because the staff went above and beyond expectations and the steps following the procedure were very easy to follow. Kim provided a timeline overview of what I should be expecting in the next several months and continues to check in to make sure everything is going well. It has been exactly 3 weeks since my procedure and I am seeing great progress so far and am very content so far. I am expecting to see my full grown hair again around the 6 month mark.
