Jimmy Choo From the PurseBlog...Let's talk about the Blare

HI!

I thought I would drop in here and see what you all think of the Blare bag that was featured on the PurseBlog today.

If you havent "met" me yet, I am on the PurseBlog team and a longtime member of the PurseForum, too. I introduced myself in this thread last week.

We feature a lot of great bags and as well as interesting behind the scenes peeks at special events, and want to make sure our members don't miss out.

This week, Amanda wrote a piece on the Jimmy Choo Blare tote. It is already sold out at Net a Porter, so there are clearly plenty of fans.

What do you think of this bag?
I am on the fence, and need to look at more pictures to make up my mind.

What are your thoughts? Does anyone have one to share pics of?

I wanted to see the other colors for this...I searched and found it in tan. I really like it in this color!

I have to admit, it think it is a bit weird. Like a double decker bus bag. But I'm more of a classic gal, so that clearly influences my opinion!

I think it is plain ugly and this is from Jimmy Choo fan (bags included). Why is it so tall?

I think the reason I like it in tan is prpbably because in the photograph it doesnt look so stiff and tall, but more soft and smooshy. I am also hoping to see a modeling picture at some point.

I think Balenciaga did some biker chic bags better, like the Clous bag.

I would like the Choo Blare bag if the chains were removed as well as the leather piece at the top of the short handles. Right now it seems like it is trying too hard. I do like the quilted accents, and that the buckle and logo hardware is silvertone.

It does look like the chains can be removed. I need to get down to the boutique to see this.

There is a third one on the Choo website - it is black suede and leather.

Blare comes in one size: L26 x H45 x W15cm (or L10.2" x H17.7" x W5.9") and is $1895.00

Never seen nor heard of this tote bag before now. I just googled it and discovered that it's the quilted Blare tote. The bottom of the bag is quilted. The interior is faux suede. It's a very smooshy bag. It's $1399 cad at winners dwntn.

Although I do like the python bag, I do not like it when carried. I don't like the side pockets at all. Reminds me of Celine bags with those wings...no, no, no!
