Frivole small WG earrings or Frivole WG Mini Pave earrings??

Hi ladies!

Am in a bit of a dilemma.. i am missing a piece of WG versatile earrings in my WG collection and am thinking of adding either Frivole Small earrings or Frivole Mini Pave earrings..

I prefer small size as i usually let my hair down and small or non dangle earrings get lost and hidden anyways. Although i love my Tiffany hardware small earrings in silver, the look does not go with my WG VCA pieces which are mostly from Alhambra/perlee lines.

I am also trying to find WG earrings that would match my 10 motif Chalcedony necklace.

Appreciate your views or if anyone has similar pieces and can share mod shots!

I tried on the small in store but did not try on mini frivole as i was considering btw small and large. I do appreciate that Mini size is good for daily or easy wear.

I have SO Chalcedony earrings but I usually wear my Chalcedony 10 motif with WG pave Alhambra earrings, either sweet or vintage size. Therefore, I think you could wear either of your WG frivole earring options with your Chalcedony 10 motif. The pave might be a little more harmonious compared to the shiny mirror smalls, but you have strong reasons for preferring the small size vs mini, so I would stick with your size preference. I don’t think it makes sense to buy a pair just to slightly better match one of your necklaces vs the piece that overall works better for you, especially since you have other WG VCA pieces.

I considered the WG frivole small pave earrings but they are too much of a statement on its own that i find it hard to match with my other VCA pieces. Like, i feel it deserves its own Frivole family.

Which in a way i feel the WG in the frivole small earrings are more "metallic" in the WG shade due to the mirror effect as compared to the Alhambra /perlee WG which feels more "whitish" and is the shade of WG i generally prefer.. ahhhhh headache! Lol.

I know exactly what you mean; I see sweet pave earrings or mini frivole pave studs as stand-ins for diamond studs. They are versatile, but very subtle; the effect is not so much being “a set” than it is being “complementary”.
The mirror WG frivole are a lot of metal, I wear my YG mirror smalls with VA necklaces, but perhaps there are more options for fluid pairings with YG mirror VS WG mirror. I do think the small mirror frivoles are extremely lovely though.

However, if I lived in a warm climate like you and could wear lighter colors and summery outfits more often, I think I would wear the WG pave vintage more with Chalcedony to work or just going out and about. Here are some photos with the sweets with the chalcedony, the vintage with pave 10 motif and a bonus that I found while looking for those of the YG mirror earrings with the chalcedony necklace. I have no idea why I was wearing those two together, but it should give you a good idea of what the WG mirror would look like in its place. I think it would actually be pretty and whimsical now that I see my hodgepodge photo and imagine they were WG!

Yes same! I also see the sweet pave and mini frivole pave as alternative to diamond studs, just that they are more interesting than a single stud. I hardly reach for my diamond stud earrings which i got to wear when i am wearing my chalcedony necklace but it feels very "blah" to me.. thanks for getting me! I feel like only fellow tpfers can understand my jewellery quirks! Lol♡

Wld you say Mini frivole WG earrings > Mini frivole WG pave earrings?

I initially felt like its a lot of money for pave.. compared to using the $ for a big diamond stud. But... i am not a diamond stud girlie.. i get bored of it.

I saw many posts on mini pave frivole earrings, that it is quite non substantial and doesnt have the 3D flower effect due to the size. So i am torn

I may be alone in this but I am not a fan of frivole earrings with Alhambra necklace. It is different shapes and looks to be competing. I wear my yg pave sweets with my yg Alhambra necklaces or yg hoops. With my wg Alhambra necklace I wear large diamond studs or matching Alhambra earrings. I have never worn my frivole earrings with my Alhambra necklace.
I also am not a fan of the frivole mini pave earrings. I suggest you try them in person. The shape is very different than the small size.
Looking at Nicole’s pics, the sweet or regular pave Alhambra are perfect pairing. Otherwise I would stick to studs or hoops. Cartier mini clash earrings would compliment without competing if studs are too boring for you. Or simple pave Huggies would work too.

Given your bracelets you should definitely consider the pave vintage earrings. The Alhambra and perlee clover pair beautifully and you will match onyx pave. The pave earrings will go with any stone necklace or hammered in same colour gold.
The clash come in wg and rg. I have not tried on but have seen others wear and they are very pretty.

It sounds like the right choice- but i need to justify the price tag to myself now.. lol.

I was hoping to steer away from Alhambra pieces cos most of my collection is IT! Haha but cant deny that i do enjoy Alhambra items a lot

I definitely prefer the look of the pave Alhambra to the frivole in @nicole0612 pictures
I think wg pave vintage earrings would go beautifully with your chalcedony and your onyx pieces.

Thank you! I can definitely wear it casually, but I do not pair it with the matching earrings if I do! I wore it for months straight after I had my baby last year because it is so carefree and I was just in house clothes.
