I would very much appreciate Frivole earrings advice. My SA has the large ones which I love but worry they might be too heavy to wear everyday. I think I prefer the small as I want them for every day wear but maybe I can wear the large everyday? Which ones do you own and wear? How long will be the wait for small ones?

I own the small Frivole in both mirror WG and pave RG and LOVE that size for both the way it looks and feels. I also have the 3 flower Frivole in YG, which are one of my favorite VCA pieces along with the matching necklace! While you could say that is a lot of Frivole, they all look quite different with being different metals, one being pave, and the 3 flower having its own vibe.
I haven't seen the small YG in a while, but the small in WG have started to pop up more after a long hiatus. They were on my wishlist for a long time, but I was able to just get a pair recently and have seen a few other posters here find theirs as well. If you like the WG, it might be sooner rather than later.
While I do not own them to say, I read somewhere on here the Large Frivole weighs 13.328 g. In comparison, the 3 Flowers weigh 9.332 g--the 3 Flower in YG have a lot of presence but are still comfortable and do not feel heavy to me. I don't know the small size weight offhand, but I don't notice them when they are on.

Thank you xiaoxiao and citykitty24! I remain torn! I called vancleeff today and they could source the 3 flower frivole in yellow gold. I love that one too! I really just want to own a pair of the frivole now!
My only vancleef are the SG Alhambra earrings and necklace that I love but I really want to add yellow gold. Just not sure on just buying the large or three flower (wearing them most days) or holding off for the small YG

Have you actually tried on the large to see how you like the feel and look? If you think you prefer the small size, it’s better to wait than get something you aren’t in love with or may not often wear. In case it helps you to compare, the 3 Flower sits on your ear differently than either the large or small Frivole and has almost a drop earring effect. I put one of each on so that you could see what I mean.
Thank you both! Yes, I tried on the large and loved the shape of the earrings. I thought they felt a little heavy for my ear and then reading reviews, there were a few people that commented on the weight. I am going to wear them for work everyday and think the small might be lighter and better for my lifestyle. That being said, I don’t want to wait 3 years for this earring! I called VC and about 6 stores in the US looking for them. The three flower is also gorgeous!
I couldn’t stop thinking about the earrings and which size so I just bought the ones I could find! The BIG ones. I went back to the store today and said to myself “it’s more economical to get the big ones”. I am going to try to wear every day but even if it’s just special occasions- I love the shine!

Big congrats! I have both Frivole earrings in (1) Large size YG mirror and (2) Small size RG pave with Pink Sapphire.
I can wear Large size for the whole day but they are more on the heavy side. I would say small ones are more suitable for daily wear but anyway, if you can rock your Large size as daily wear then it’s good for you!
I have same opinion as you - I feel in mirror and solid gold, the proportion of Frivole in large size is better than small size/mini size.

Could you tell me which one you prefer - the mirror gold with one small stone or the YG with diamonds?
No preference, I love both equally as they are distinct enough and hence justifiable for me to collect.
Btw, the mirror that I have is the Large size with 3 small diamonds instead of 1 in the center and they are significantly heavier than small size (mirror with 1 diamond or full pave diamond version). The pave I have is Rose Gold with Pink Sapphire in the center.
I don’t own the Frivole earrings you asked for comparison, i.e mirror small with 1 diamond or full pave yellow gold small.

These look wonderful on you! I can easily see why you bought them. The YG is polished to perfection and the diamonds are so white and sparkle beautifully.
Frivole earrings are worthy of multiple pairs. I have the small and the mini in YG mirror finish. My earlobes are small so the mini makes a very easy around-the-house earring. I bought the small mirror finish to wear with my 10th Anniversary gift—the Frivole 7 Flowers Bracelet (cuff). I’ve started wearing those more frequently as a casual earring, too.
