French Purse(?) wallet help!!

Hi,

Recently my mother gave me her old French Purse LV wallet. She's used it for about 10 years now and there are quite a few problems with it.

I was wondering what is the most that could be done to repair it. I've uploaded some pictures. What is the extent of repairs that LV can do? Is there anything I can try at home? I don't want to give up on this wallet yet..

1. The leather has faded and gotten dirty where the credit cards rubbed against it..

2. I don't know how to describe this.. but one side of the canvas doesn't quite cover the brass part of the coin pocket anymore..

3. Some of the canvas is peeling and the stitching is coming off..

Too much wear and tear to be fixed unfortunately. LV will not fix anything with cracked and peeling canvas. It can't be fixed.

Also, it is generally harder for them to repair wallets, and since this one has been well-used, as CM said, they will not. Of course, it won't hurt to bring it into a store and find out for yourself!

I too have an older French wallet, the larger version. Same issues as well. I sent it in for repair but nothing could be done for it. Just have to love it for sentimental reasons.
