I am curious for your opinions on this piece.

I tried to like his collection but could never find anything. I think his pieces are off... they are neither clean modern nor fluid form. It’s just there.
I think that is why it was discontinued so fast. The original expectation was that he would be like another Elsa Peretti and his stuff would take off. He’s not even close to Elsa Peretti who’s fluid yet modern designs I love.
I am not a fan of the piece and do not think it looks even close to an orchid.
Paper Flowers is a better floral motif. Just my two cents. Hope it was helpful

Thanks for sharing this pic. I have been looking for a modeling pic for ages as I have been in love with this for close to 10 years. I have never seen this in person but on eBay. I think this is Frank Gehry’s best piece. You should get it. It’s so unique and beautiful.
I love Gehry’s buildings and this piece reminds me of his LA Disney Concert Hall. I am wearing his torque diamond ring today and I would love to own this orchid pendant or the one in YG.

I instantly felt the same way and put a small down payment on it but then started to freak out!
It is definitely a statement piece with impeccable provenance and history. I have (luckily) already checked all the boxes on my jewelry wardrobe so I have all the basics. This important piece just spoke to me.
It is dramatic. Different. Sparkly as heck!

I am so excited for you efleon!!!! You have made the right decision. This piece is so unique, beautiful and abstract. Please post a million pics when you get it. I think it would look great with a black turtleneck as well as any v neck.

It's definitely a unique piece and as long as you love it, that's all that matters. I like the diamond part a lot.

I know this is an old thread….but @efleon - did you get the orchid pendant? Would love to see more pics. I’m a huge fan of Frank Gehry’s work and have always wanted to get the seven fish necklace. One day….
