I agree with the veiny not too shiny vote. But some colors do look better than others with the veins in the leather.

If you love the bag and can't get it out of your head, then go back and get it! It doesn't matter if every opinion on the board is for non-veiny leather because it will be *your* handbag and you will love it!! : ) I asked this question too when first getting into Balenciaga, and was told to get the less veiny one, which I did, then I went back to Saks and exchanged it later because I felt the veiny one had more character!!

Personally I love the veiny leather myself and taking the bag out in the rain, letting it get wet and then drying it off WELL with paper towels and letting the rest air dry and worked for me to get rid of the shininess. I am not sure if I did that with my Ink, but he is less shiny just from use.

My veiny ink day also happens to be rather shiny and I adore her. She just works for me. My black city on the other hand is soft, smooshy and that fits her. I think you just know from first sight, I just fell in love!

Yeah, I like my black nonveiny too. Unfortunately my First is kinda veiny and crinkly so I just rub leather conditioner all over- its ok now.
