How long can you go not wearing Rolex before you need to reset?:shrugs: I was told 4 days but that sounds a little long. How many turns do you do when winding? I was told no more than 40 but that sounds a little too much to me.

I find that the watch stops after a few days. I tried various watchwinders, but they didn't work. So i just switch off between my Rolex and my other watches. It always starts up again as soon as i put it on.

I have recently switched from my Cartier, which is has an automatic movement, to my Rolex. Sometimes I wear it to bed so I don't have to worry about it stopping. I always wear it when I run, so I'm sure it's SUPER wound after that:graucho:

Sometimes I have had it stop overnight, and sometimes it has been a couple of days. I guess it all depends on your activity prior to taking it off. I have heard that when you do wind it, only wind it 10X (which is what I do). I think a Rolex dealer told me that, but don't take it as gospel:p

I use a watch rotator, because I couldn't stand having to constantly fix the date and time. My regular wear (every few days) was just not enough movement to keep it wound, so I invested in a good quality winder by Wolf Designs.

I don't have my Rolex anymore, but I remember it would stop on the 3rd day if I had not worn it. If it stopped, I would just wear it for a few hours and them pull out the stem and set the time. I never actually wound it.
Also, I gave up on setting the date because I got too scared pulling the stem out that far. Plus I could not see the date. That's one of the reasons I sold the watch.

I have tried a couple of watch winders and they haven't worked. It sounds as though this one works and you're happy with it. If that's the case, i would consider getting it. Do you have the model number? TIA

I wear mine every day so I never have to wind it.

That said, there was a time when I wouldn't wear it constantly, and the "revival" time was about 3 days. First I'd fix the date if it needed it, then I'd fix the time, and finally wind it about 10 times.

Hope this helps.

I purchased mine from a local jeweler, but I found the exact model on Amazon so you could check it out .
