The fur threads have been quieter this year. Probably because many of us are not venturing out much.
I thought this was interesting. With all the restrictions and having to eat outside, fur sales are booming in nyc!

Here it is with matching seal bum bag (sorry for poor quality pic)! The fox collar comes off which makes it great to customise or just wear on its own when the weather isnt as cold. On eBay I found a sapphire mink hat to match which is coming in the mail, so excited to pair them.

Aw thank you! Its my first new fur, all my other furs are vintage. I do love them but I wanted something that was a bit more modern looking, my old furs have the "retro" look which can be hard to style.

Also I just find natural seal so fascinating, so special. It's insanely silvery and shiny and the thought that its leftovers from an Inuit hunt is just magical.

I am happy that fur sales are booming in NYC, especially with all of the nonsense around banning new fur sales. I promised pics of my most recent purchases, but I really need my husband to take the pics for me. I don't have a full length mirror at home. However, it is cold in the midwest, there is still snow on the ground in my city. I wear my furs, even to run errands.

DH and I attended a comedy show over the weekend, and I wore a mink coat and hat there. Two of the comedians complimented me on my coat! Wear your furs proudly, ladies!

A lot of brands are doing this. I know fur is not the most ethical part of luxury fashion, but it is no more inhumane than leather imo. There seems to be a big double standard that exists between leather wearers and wearing fur.

I think fashion with fur is exciting (like when Fendi came out with their bag charms). I think faux fur is very cheap-looking and often not worth the price that the pieces command. I certainly wouldn't pay luxury prices for faux fur.

Fur is also being phased out in UK department stores.
