The reason it's considered undesireable by some is that it's not pure color when you're dealing with flour. It can make a stone appear whiter than it really is. And like Swanky said, when it's strong blue, it can sometimes make the stone milky.
I have owned a few stones that had it in various degrees, but my current stone is a Medium to Strong Blue and it does not milk up at all. No oiliness or anything. It also helps the appearance to be whiter and looks cool in sun light. lol
personally, I scout it out. I love it. Some people believe that it "taints" the stone to be less perfect. If you can get a D with Medium Blue or Strong Blue that's not Milky...that is a really cool look.
