tysm, this is very helpfulBoth are heavy bags. I think the Buckley is easier to get in and out of
because the top doesn't fold over, as it does on the large satchel.
Also the Buckley is more structured so it's easier to find things inside.
.
But consider how you carry the bag.... the Buckley is either hand carry
or shoulder carry (permanently attached strap). The large satchel can
be hand carried, shoulder carried, or I think cross body (if the strap is long
enough). And since the strap on the large satchel is removeable,
you could add your own guitar strap if you wanted something longer
or to spice up the look.
Also consider the size and shapes of the bags and how you would carry them....
the Buckley has a wider base so for shoulder carry you need to shift it
to the back so it doesn't hit your hip. The large satchel is softer,
so it can be squished more easily for shoulder or cross body carry.
All things to consider, depending upon how you use a handbag.
True, but remember we all carry handbags differently. I hand carry, so it's not an issuethat was one of the concerns i had too was the discomfort of the base at the bottom. the buckley is so adorable but comfort is important or the bag won’t be used as much.
same, my hips get in the way.True, but remember we all carry handbags differently. I hand carry, so it's not an issue
for me, although handbag weight is. Others are used to slinging their shoulder bags
toward the back, so it's natural for them. And still other ladies like their
handbags tucked under their arms or falling straight down to their hips.
The hip placement never worked for me.... hips and handbags battling for the
same space.... hips had a permanent advantage.
Your collection is growing nicely.... and quickly.Well I’ll will compare the two. I have the large satchel in chestnut and just scored a navy Buckley. It came up and the price was great so I snagged it before it disappeared. Should be here this week. So far I’m loving the large satchel. I don’t even think the small satchel would hold everything I carry without being stuffed.

After carrying both, I’m glad I got one of each. They’re both GREAT! Hold about the same amount of items. The Buckley is so much fun to carry, but the thin strap will dig. I got a strap off Amazon and it feels better. The large satchel is just so beautiful and it stays in my lap. I really enjoy carrying the large Florentine satchel with the strap doubled, as a shoulder bag. I could never carry either of these crossbody. They are far too big to be comfortable, even empty. If you can I’d start with the Buckley. It’s a tote, drawstring, and a bucket. Three bags in one is so Awesome. It‘s such a unique and fun bag. Labor Day is coming and there should be a great sale coming. The pre- loved Buckleys that I’ve seen for purchase look to be in great shape.thoughts on ease of use of these two bags if running errands with them all day?

My excuse, and it has worked nicely with my husband (for years), is I have a "gap" in my handbag collection. Somehow, it always works.thank you. If it’s available, and the price is right, it’s meant for me to have. I am now spoiled by Florentine leather. I went in my closet to look at another bag, and it smelled inferior, like chemicals. Oh boy my husband is gonna give me the side eye when the Buckley comes… Bless his heart LOL
