Worth it or not? I have mixed feelings but am intrigued.....anyone carry this?

This is a beautiful handbag. I own it, from years ago, in a deep teal. It is a larger handbag....
the base is a little wider and it's taller than the typical domed satchel. And the handles are
long enough to go over the shoulder.

The exterior belting/buckles and tassels are nice details.

The Domed Buckle satchel is NOT oversized, and it doesn't look like a very big bag...
but it holds a lot. It's not as heavy as the medium satchel,
but it's heavier (and bigger) than the small Flo satchel or the Flo Cameron.

The Flo Tulip tote (shopper) is lighter in weight. But the Domed
Buckle Satchel looks more interesting from a styling standpoint,
and also looks more like a handbag than the Tulip does. And the differing
shapes of the Domed Buckle Satchel and the Tulip mean that they carry different
amounts/types of things. Measurements of the base.... length and depth (width)
are key, since both are tall bags.

Now I need to look at the colors of the Domed Buckle shopper and see if I can
resist buying another one. Not quite 40% off.... good, but not an irresistible price.
Except... as a special occasion purchase.... Chanukah gift...Christmas gift.... upcoming birthday
gift. The price passes my threshold test for those. :) ;) :) And if I hadn't already bought far
too many handbags this year it would pass the "I survived 2020" test too!

And, special sales, like the 12 Days of Dooney sometimes provide the opportunity to
pick up treasures that have been unavailable for a long time. It makes more sense to me
to spend some extra $ on a really special handbag (Florentine or Alto), than to buy just another style or leather that isn't nearly as special.... since my collection already has lots of those.
And that is how I convince myself to buy Alto bags at 30% off or Florentine bags at 40% off,
when I'd really like sales to be 50-70% off! ;)

I got rid of all my pebble leather Dooney and Sarifino....florentine was just it for me..now....this dome satchel.....and lighter than my medium satchels....

Also, look at the Florentine Bristol on Dooney.com.
It's part of the 12 days today.
I love the Bristol.... I prefer the style to the satchels with the fold over top...
it has the detailing in design, but it's easier to open and close.
And the Bristol has a wide base and holds a lot.

It's not as tall as the Domed Buckle satchel, and the handles
on the Bristol won't go over the shoulder (It does have a detachable
shoulder strap).

You can't go wrong with either the Bristol or the Domed Buckle Satchel
in Florentine. Both are beautiful and hold a lot. Both are a little on
the weighty side, but not the worst of the Florentine bags at under 3 lbs.

I am considering both options...Bristol or Domed....hard to choose...I keep looking at both....for some reason that domed just calls me more than the Bristol. I lift weights at the gym to make sure I can carry my florentine well into my retirement home LOL
