I'm not sure if this question has been asked, but here goes. I have 4 ctw diamond stud earrings with screw backs which are always flopping down. I have tried the plastic supports as well as the "bling guard" felt supports, but both irritate my lobes after a few days. I have seen "earring lifters" for regular posts, but never anything for screw backs. Has anybody else had this problem? And, better still, a solution? TIA!

I had a drooping problem on my diamond studs (not screw backs though) and tried those magic bax earring lifters and they worked but they were so large you could see them from the front of my ear. I emailed whiteflash (where I bought the earrings) to ask for jumbo backs which are like the magic bax but circle shaped instead of long. They made me a pair and mailed them to me, and they work. So I would ask a jeweler to make you a pair of round jumbo backs that will work with screw posts. The ones I got were $80 for 18k gold or $150 for platinum.

Agree with MyAusomeFinds. I also got Whiteflash’s jumbo backs for my 2.5 ctw diamond studs. These jumbo backs definitely help eliminate dropping problem. They may help your larger studs, too.

What setting do you have? Basket or martini? I have found the basket setting droop more then the martini setting. I agree with @MyAwesomeFinds about the jumbo/elephant backs...I'm sure they can make them to accommodate screw posts.

I have a pair that does that. I tried many of those ear lifter backs, but they didn't work for me. I resorted to using small (kids) butterfly back and then the screw. That has worked best for me and says secure.
