Has anyone gone down to the stores to look at the flamenco purse yet? I am eyeing the emerald green but I feel a bit hesitant to get it due to its price point! And it doesn’t help that stock is running low :(

One thing I don’t quite like is that for the medium size, the crossbody strap actually looks a bit weird? Like it’s too thin for the bag and looks a bit out of proportion.

Anyone else considering?

The colour is gorgeous. I hope I'm allowed to say I prefer the original Flamenco, this looks like a cash-in on the Chanel 22 / BB Chain Pouch

I agree about the thin x-body strap. Imagine having a fully loaded bag just on that thin bit of leather, make sure you like the look and carrying on the chain too.

I haven't seen it in person but I was considering it because I also like the emerald colour. I'm not sure how I feel about the small version it's one of those do I love it or hate it bags but I like the larger version. The emerald colour also looks really different in different pictures. There are some posts about the purse on the flamenco thread if that helps. I wish the colour was available in other bags like the flamenco, bracelet, puzzle hamock hobo etc If it was I might have already bought it. There is something about the purse that stops me probably the price difference and that the chain would be purely decorative for me so im not sure its worth it. Emerald is available in the paseo satchel, pebble bucket and the squeeze bag The squeeze is another not sure if I love it or hate it bag and the others wouldn't work for me so at the moment if I want the emerald the flamenco purse is the best option but its a lot of money for not perfect. The strap does seem very thin but it's a light bag it depends how much you put in it I guess

I checked it out a few weeks ago in Florence. The emerald color is stunning but honestly, I didn’t think it was worth the price tag. The mini one is so small and trendy looking imo and the larger size reminds me of the BV pouch. I prefer the original mini flamenco style (I have two and am considering getting a third!) one thing to note is that the new style is lamb leather so will be more delicate than the original flamenco style’s calfskin leather. I have had a tiny bit of scuffing on two corners of my mini black flamenco and so I personally wouldn’t go near the new style.

Yup, that’s the thing. The chain will most probably be purely decorative for me—I am a crossbody type of girl

I saw the squeeze on another person and I think it’s not very pretty. Perhaps that bag is just not my style.

Yup, it’s a lot of money for something that isn’t 100%. It’s available in the bucket tho, have you seen it?

Wow, this is actually really good advice. Thanks for the tip! I don’t own any original flamenco yet, now I really wish they have emerald green in the original design.

The emerald green is a gorgeous color but I’m not a fan of the flamenco purse. I find the chain strap to be unattractive and the silhouette to look more like a BV pouch than a Loewe flamenco. The price point is too high at retail as well IMO (at least in SG) but the leather they’ve used for the flamenco purse is very supple and buttery, perhaps a bit more so than usual. The original flamenco with a donut chain feels much nicer to me as a Loewe piece.

Yeah, and because it’s so soft, I think putting heavy stuff inside will probably make the bag “drop” also.

me too. I cannot swallow the SGD5100 price point. 🌚

I haven't seen it in person. It's a bucket bag I'm drawn to in many colours but I dont know why because I know open bags don't work for me I live in a city I'm worried things will fall out or someone will take something. I've heard adjusting the top handle strap with the pebble is a bit awkward too

I tried FP and original F black colour in person this morning. FP's donut chain was a tad to short on my shoulder, so I tried on original F with a separately sold donut chain, it looked a lot better. The leather felt different enough too. As someone mentioned FP is in lamb so it's a lot more delicate. The bag felt very light too. I would do original F with added donut chain purchased separately. But I just got a squeeze bag so I am on a mini ban island for now

I sort of impulse bought this bag. I don't have the original flamenco bag and it's never been my vibe really, but I was looking for something that's soft and squishy and a nice colour for summer. I have loads of structured bags. I fell in love with the emerald colour and ordered the bigger size.

As to comments here, I must note that the bag is extremely light, it is unbelievably light even with the chain attached and with all stuff inside. The leather feels amazing, it is so soft. The bag doesn't fit as much as I thought it would, though, but it fits everything I need to carry with me. I danced all night wearing this bag and hardly noticed it. It is also supremely comfortable because the leather is so soft and because of the lightness. Yes the strap is thin but it's no bother when the bag is so light. I struggle more with strain straps to be honest. I do love the choice of chain strap and leather strap, I can dress the bag up and down. The colour is versatile, too, I can see it working in the autumn as well, as a pop of colour.

My only niggle would be that I would not recommend this bag style to someone who's worried of theft a lot. The top does close with a magnet and you can pull the leather straps to tighten it, but while carrying the bag it doesn't really stay very tightly closed. I live in a very safe country, so it doesn't bother me, I carry a lot of bags that won't even close. There's no zipped pocket inside either.

And I agree the prices are getting insane with all of these brands.

But still very happy with my purchase.

Hello! Absolutely gorgeous purse! When you say it doesn't stay tightly closed, do you mean the drawstring loosens and the bag flattens? Like it loses the cinched look?

Yes, that's what I mean. It doesn't lose the cinched look entirely but after carrying it a while at least in crossbody style it becomes looser than it was in the beginning. And also of course if you grab something from the bag. But you can of course cinch it in again, so it doesn't bother me that much.
