First vca necklace, please help me decide between the small rose gold frivole and the guicholle yellow gold, so undecided I love the mirror finish of frivole, but equally love the sparkle or guicholle, I heard that guicholle can't be polished though which is a concern.. I have the 5 motif onyx bracelet as my only other vca piece.

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated ❤️

I voted for the Guilloche Vintage Alhambra as I think it’s a classic that can be worn daily with various outfits and for various occasions. The Small Frivole is absolutely beautiful but it gives off a more feminine look which sometimes might be a problem depending on what look or outfit you are going for. I think the classic Alhambra is more versatile and will stand the test of time (suitable to wear even over the years as we age). Regardless, it really depends on your style and your daily activities. Does your lifestyle involve a lot of physical activities? Are you concerned about your pieces showing scratches? I believe the Alhambra will show less scratches than the high mirror polished Frivole. Might I also suggest looking into the Hammered Vintage Alhambra as it is very subtle and beautiful in its own way. It glistens ever so slightly and pairs well with every outfit. It is also much more durable for daily wear and shows less noticeable scratches. Looking forward to seeing which necklace you end up purchasing. I believe you can’t go wrong with both options as they are both very lovely pieces to own in your collection. Happy Shopping!

As a necklace, you won't have to worry that much about scratching in the way you would with a bracelet or ring, so the polishing question with Guilloche should not be that much of an issue.

I voted Frivole because I love the Frivole collection and think it is gorgeous. I have several pieces myself (you might find one isn't enough after you start.) The Frivole line is more feminine, which fits in great with my personal style.

However, you cannot go wrong the the Guilloche necklace either. It would mix and match nicely with your onyx bracelet and whatever other non-VCA YG jewelry you already have in your collection. Let us know what you decide!

I voted for Alhambra because it will pair nicely with your onyx bracelet. However, both choices are good choices. You might eventually getting both pieces with time. Enjoy 😉

Thank you for everyone's advice ☺️ I purchased the frivole but the rose gold didn't look right on my complexion, so I exchanged for the guilloche and couldn't be happier with it! I know there's a lot of concerns with the wear or guilloche at the moment so I do feel like I'm taking a risk with this piece.. but it is stunning.

If anyone could advise on cleaning this piece that would be much appreciated x

You have nothing to worry about with the Guilloche necklace. To clean it, all you need is gentle soap (I use Johnson & Johnson baby shampoo or body wash) and water. Rub gently with your fingers, rinse then air dry. I've never had an issue...it's literally a carefree piece for me.

Congratulations ! I have the earrings and wouldn’t be worried for earrings or necklace. Just avoid perfumes / chemical products. VCA can clean it for free if you prefer not taking any risk but the advise given by @Bisoux78 are great

from my personal experience and tips given by friends in the jewelry business, for solid gold pieces, ultrasonic cleaner with distilled water work best. avoid using tap water since the pH and minerals contents vary by locations and pipelines, distilled water is the best option as it usually contain the least amount of impurities. i then wipe it dry with microfiber cloth and then run through it one more time with a mini beauty blender to remove any dust & fingerprints to make it extra shiny.
