First time Chanel buyer - need basic advice

My bday is coming up and was looking to purchase my first Chanel.
What is the basic price of a Chanel quilted bag?
I would like one that can fit a good amount of stuff but they all look a bit small so not sure. I have never even own one so advice needed.
